Mental Health Treatment for Teens: Why Choose Us?
Being a teen isn’t easy. Your child may feel like they don’t fit in or that no one understands them. They may be dealing with test-taking anxiety or bullying. No matter what your child is facing, we can help.
The adolescent psychiatric programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital help teens 13 to 17 manage mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD and trauma. We offer inpatient and outpatient programs and tailor treatment to your child’s needs.
We have been serving the L.A. area for over 100 years. Staff members are trained to take a trauma-informed approach, which helps us provide an empathetic, nonjudgmental environment for your child.
At BHC Alhambra Hospital, you’ll find:
- Skilled care providers: Your child’s providers include therapists, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, medical doctor and clinical case manager. They work together to create a comprehensive care plan for your child.
- Individualized treatment: Every child is different. We assess your child and customize treatment to their needs.
- Structured environment: Your child attends individual and group therapy sessions, process groups and psychoeducational groups. A structured schedule helps them focus on healing.
- Family involvement: Family therapy enables you to participate in your child’s recovery. We also offer visiting hours every evening for children in the inpatient program.
- Transition of care: We help you create an after-care plan for your child so they can transition back to their life.
- Virtual programming: Our adolescent outpatient programs are available in person or virtually. Your child can attend via teleconference so they feel part of the group.
